Home for Birds

I have been fascinated with bird's nest since my childhood in Florida.
I think they are works of art, to think a bird built that with twigs, cotton, ribbon anything the mama bird can find.

All of the nests I have received are from friends (I sent an e-mail asking for any they may have) and are watched carefully to make sure the mama bird does not want to use it again. They do, you know.

One day birds appeared on one of the skylights at the shop, happily pecking & walking around.
I am surrounded by all things lovely in nature.

This bird's nest was sent to me by GS who knows I love nests (the egg we painted).

We used bird's nests in our Easter window.

Another shot of the other Easter window with bird's nest.

You can buy these quail eggs by the dozen.

This is a nest cut out of a tree in Texas. Mama Bird put big feathers in the nest
(gold egg is painted). This one is my very favorite.

I love to use cloches over the nest.

This nest was found in Florida with the unborn egg in it! There is also a hummingbird's nest next to the Florida nest.

Nature has been so gracious to give us all these things.

Another picture with the nest with real quail eggs, painted golden eggs & painted birdie.

I think my calling as a home designer makes me the perfect person to adore nests!

Tell me what you adore, dear readers.

I think we all need to focus on instinct. I adore Spring and all that comes with, blossoms, green grass, flowers....birds, bees.
