Pops Of Color In Neutral Rooms

I was looking through some of my European magazines (a light bulb)...
Pops of color in neutral rooms.
Below are some of my favorites!
Take a look.

Côte Est

All brown and a vase of pink peonies.

Côte Est

Love the lavender color of the house - you can barely see the purple cabin.

Côte Est

Red sofa in a neutral room. Adore the lines of the sofa + dog heads above.

Côte Est

Art, candles and balls are the color in this picture. Such an interesting table.

Côte Est

Rust colored pillows.

Côte Est

Love these spools of thread that add color to the room.

Côte Est

The yellow pottery on shelves + bracket.

Côte Est

Charming bathroom with a unique soap dish and yellow soap.

Côte Est

Green in a bathroom. Plants love the moisture.

Côte Est

There is that pop of green again.

Côte Est

Great Kitchen with open shelves against black wall.

Côte Est

One green jar in this piece.

Côte Est

Little bit of blue accent pieces for this room.

Côte Est

Tiny kitchen with bright lampshade in an otherwise neutral room.

How I adore these foreign magazines!
Which of these photos do you love, dear readers?

Have a wonderful weekend.

Love,

Peggy

Rose Bowl Flea Market, Pasadena

 Rose Bowl Flea Market

So this past Sunday, we went to the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena.
It happens on the 2nd Sunday of each month.
Come with us!

You can find more info about the Pasadena Rose Bowl here.

Pasadena, CA 91103

We got there about 10 a.m. and the weather was overcast and cold - for those of us from Southern California.
Here we are queued up for the Rose Bowl.

Anything from small, large, old, new, you might love to have...

Love blue & white - I am always on the look out for interesting pieces.

A little bit of everything can be found.

 Look at these old radios!

Yes, these are radios.  One of these were playing music.

Cuckoo clocks

This door was made out of tin - interesting, I thought!

A vendor who has a great booth!
She goes abroad 3 or 4 times a year on a buying trip. She designs all her clothes.
She also sells at the Santa Monica flea market but not the Long Beach flea market.

 Anything Chinese!
I have a very similar Buddha, but thought you would like to see this one!

I don't know why but I adore pulleys.
This booth had them cleverly hung, I thought

 Glasses were everywhere.

These bracelets were on paint rollers. Some of the booths are clever.

 Old cash registers.

Something about these dolls were a bit creepy to me.

 Rugs in abundance.

 Look at the clouds!

We rarely see this in Southern California, however, we are seeing it more these days.

Showing us how to get out.

 How helpful they are!

The parking lots were all full so we had to park on the grass.

Here is the park sign.
We parked on the grass, got this shot as we were leaving Pasadena.
It was an experience to say the least. I'm  happy to share this with you!

I must confess I like Santa Monica or the Long Beach flea market
better than the crowded Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

But aren't we blessed to live in Southern California and have so many flea markets?

Have a wonderful weekend!

Love,

Peggy

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day,
dear readers!

Jackson Kitty - CA

Happy Valentine's day from the king of our hearts, sweet Jackson Kitty.
1995 - February 14, 2012

Jackbus

Miracle

We saw this old school bus painted in blue with a mustache & crown on the front tooling down the freeway! Janet had to take a picture.

Then we saw on the back of the bus, Jack with a crown and a winking red light.
The name on the license plate said... Jack Bus.

93.1 Jack FM, Jack bus

A radio station bus named Jack!
A miracle!
Happy Valentine's day from us to you, dear readers...

Love,

 Peggy

International Fashion Diary - Escada

From the 1993 International Fashion Desk Diary
by Shirley Kennedy.

A slinky harlequin check multi-color skirt
is worn with a low-neck fuchsia form-fitting top.
Fancy jewels and a chiffon scarf finish the look.

Hearts and spadex:
Eye catching colorful appliqués adorn a stand-out suede jacket
topping long-length purple suede shorts.

Sun sighs:
Citrus-y lemon & lime tones
in a startling full coat over appliquéd & printed sheath
I could wear this today!

I adore this desk diary.
The drawings from various designers are unbelievable.

What do you think, dear readers?

Love,

Peggy
