The Most Underused Furniture - Screens

I have always adored screens, any shape or color.
They are the most underused furniture in the home.
Here are some wonderful examples.

In the dining room!
Simply wonderful.

In the office - this one is see through.

Love how he divided the room.

unknown

Screens can be hung on the wall.

Placed behind headboards.

Modern or traditional

Between 2 doors - screens know no bounds.

Love the mirrors on this screen.

Old mirrors make this screen and table match.

Love this one!

They can be used to hide many things.
These are bifold wallpapered doors that look like a screen when opened.

 unknown

My, my - I just adore this.

How divine is this one?
I happen to love blue & white pottery.

So tell me dear readers,
what do you think of these screens?
Aren't they the most underused furniture or what?

Love,

Peggy

Celebrations

CELEBRATIONS!
Need I need to say more?
They mean dancing, merry making, joy and whatever you can think of.
Celebrations are wonderful.

Getting Ready For Christmas

It's Christmas tree time, and I am excited as a child.
Remember when you were a child and knew Santa would find you?
So this year I am decorating the tree for him.
Come look!

The tree was put up dressed with the Chinese puppets.
Plus red balls, lights, and stars.

Here are some closeup pictures of the Chinese puppets!

They love being on the Christmas tree.
I know because they told me.

Along with the puppets we have some lovely red balls.

Also we have Santa Claus on the Christmas tree

This was a Chinese man I found at Pearl River in NY some years ago.

I dressed the Christmas tree for Santa Claus.
Tell me dear readers, what Christmas time means to you.
I would love to hear.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Love,

Peggy

I Heart Screens

I adore screens.
You can section off a room, hide things behind them, hang them on wall, make an entrance in a small apt and make headboards.
I have used them a pyramid of ways for clients.
I personally think they are the most under used item in Interior Design!

I love the screens below.

I even have a board of screens on Pinterest.

Isn't this screen handsome?

Some have glass at the top.

Mademoiselle Chanel's private apartment.
Chanel used screens!

 Another picture of Chanel's apartment.
I think she split a screen in two- to make a cozy seating arrangement.

A screen that is hung on the wall is divine.

They can be used in front of windows.

They can be used to separate the end of a room.
