Chic Chinoiserie

Chic chinoiserie, as I have said before.
I think chinoiserie is the most underused category.
It is sophisticated & beautiful.
Can you tell I adore chinoiserie?

Pops of orange with blue.

I adore the Chinese man.

Blue & all colors.

I adore this bed.

unknown

Isn't this marvelous?

A pagoda light, love those little bells.

What a wonderful mirror.

Use it in a children's room.

A sconce - Pagoda.

Stunning.

These are closet doors.

Wallpaper from Osborne & Little.

Goes with everything, that chinoiserie.
Love that mirror.

Green, red & white.

So there you have a little bit of me.
I adore chinoiserie - the more the better!
Tell me dear readers, which one caught your eye?
They all are lovely, do you agree?

Love,

Peggy

Blue and White

Blue & White
It has always been a favorite of mine.
Can't have too many of them.

Love these!
Especially the square one on the tile floor.

So beautiful.

Love this on the table.

Street car- how beautiful...

Amazing!

Staircase to heaven with blue & white.
 Yes!

Love those plates.

What a beautiful room.

Tiles on a wall.

You can mix it up also.

Love the blue wall color.

Nothing else says it so well.

Stunning!

Any shape will do!

These are a few of my favorites blue and white.
Dear readers,
tell me which one you liked.
Longing to hear!

Love,

Peggy

The Most Underused Furniture - Screens

I have always adored screens, any shape or color.
They are the most underused furniture in the home.
Here are some wonderful examples.

In the dining room!
Simply wonderful.

In the office - this one is see through.

Love how he divided the room.

unknown

Screens can be hung on the wall.

Placed behind headboards.

Modern or traditional

Between 2 doors - screens know no bounds.

 unknown

Love the mirrors on this screen.

Old mirrors make this screen and table match.

Love this one!

They can be used to hide many things.
These are bifold wallpapered doors that look like a screen when opened.

 unknown

My, my - I just adore this.

How divine is this one?
I happen to love blue & white pottery.

So tell me dear readers,
what do you think of these screens?
Aren't they the most underused furniture or what?

Love,

Peggy

Some More Chinoiserie

I have always adored chinoiserie.
It is so delightful.
I use it whenever I can in homes.
It is sophisticated and goes with everything...

I just love it!

Isn't this chair lovely?
You know, I have a thing about chairs.

Always put some blue & white pottery!
Portieres are wonderful at the door and the pagodas are divine.
Let's just say I adore this room.

How beautiful is this chair?

 unknown

Lavender is one of my favorite colors.
No wonder I love this.

I have a client who has these!

Look at the ceiling.
The rug is just marvelous.
The rug was made in the 30's and is called "Nichols Rug."

Aren't those pillows cute?

 unknown

I once had two of these.
I guess they went the way of all the things "out."

Love the banisters + the art work.

Turquoise + red, what a supreme combination.

Look at the secretary in this picture.
Stunning!

The walls & ceiling are amazing in the picture.

OK, so you can have chinoiserie lights if you look hard enough.

Love how the shutters look in here.
They could be used in any room.
That blue & white ginger jar, divine!

Which one is your favorite?
Let me hear from you, dear readers.
I always love to hear your ideas + comments.

Love,

Peggy
