Thanksgiving Ideas

THANKSGIVING has always been one of my favorite holidays.
Turkey and all the trimmings, then to make gumbo the next day,
to be grateful  for everything that you have.
What's not to love?
Here are a few things I just loved from Pinterest.

Give these to your guest as they leave, just love this.

What could be better than a menu on each person plate.

And for the centerpiece, a pumpkin with roses & mums.

This is such a great idea!

A turkey made out of fruit.

A balloon to be thankful for!

Blessings- a great idea.

I am always looking for something to tell me how much to make
+ how long to cook the turkey.

This is so simple but lovely.

I have been thinking of this leaf.
Just may have to steal this idea.

Such a divine table.

Love this for each plate.
Could be so interesting.

White fruit dipped in gold.
simple + divine.

So there you have some great ideas for Thanksgiving.
What are some of your favorites, dear readers?
Please do tell me.

Love,

Peggy

Cornucopia
The cornucopia (from Latin cornu copiae) or horn of plenty is a symbol of abundance and nourishment, commonly a large horn-shaped container overflowing with produce, flowers or nuts.

!Thanksgiving!
It is almost here & I am excited!
One has to make something grand.
For the table I made a cornucopia - this time I used greenery inside.
You could use anything from fruit, produce, flowers or nuts.
Detailed recipe can be found on the blog here.

This is the cornucopia on the table.

Making the mold...with tinfoil.

Four layers of the tinfoil- you have to layer the pieces.

Store bought pizza dough.

I sprayed the mold with oil just like she said - her instructions are really great.
Braided the end and voila!

As it went in the oven!
I was hoping it will be a success.

This is the table setting with greenery as the centerpiece.
Before the cornucopia came out of the oven.

Another picture of the just greenery.
The smell while it was cooking was divine.

Here is the cornucopia ready for Thanksgiving with the greenery.

The flowered plates were given to me by my good friend SB.

We are ready for Thanksgiving!
Dear readers, send me snap shots if you make the cornucopia.
Her instructions are easy to follow.
I promise you, you will love it.

Love,

Peggy

Fantastic Gardens, Part III

Fantastic gardens are something I adore.
Gardens are a passion of mine as you can see in the pictures.
A house isn't a home until the
gardens are mature & growing.
(that is what I tell clients)

Isn't this divine?
I adore paths in the garden.

So lovely.

Just a little bit of greenery goes a long way.

Arbors are a favorite of mine also.

Isn't this just the best?

There are those paths again.

Water features are a big help in the garden.

"Eye falls" create such interest in a garden.

Another water feature with a beautiful "eye fall"

I can't pick my favorite dear readers...

Help me!
Find your favorite!

Love,

Peggy
