Feather My Nest

I recently read online,

A bird nest is a symbol of the home. It reminds us that we strive to make our home a place where family members grow and prosper. Considered a good luck symbol, the bird nest represents all the love and warmth, enthusiasm and commitment required in creating the happiest of homes.

I have always loved bird's nest, now I understand why.
No, let's say addicted to bird's nest, so much so, I have asked friends to send them  to me!

Tradition says that adding a nest to your Christmas tree will bring you good luck and good fortune during the coming year. It's never too early to think about Christmas.

 Isn't that a wonderful tradition?

Remember my previous post about bird's nests?
You can read it here.

This nest was sent to me by a friend in Texas.
And yes, that is a spray painted golden egg.

These are real bird's nest under the cloches.

Another group of nests.

Real blown out quail eggs(you can buy these) mixed in with the golden egg and some feathers I found.

Globes, nest, eggs, feathers and white animals.
(Janet spray painted these plastic animals white)

The light fixture at client/friends home in California.

This is the light fixture at night all ready for a party!

Light fixture with a sweet bird's nest up in the top.

Isn't this nest brilliant!

Birds are master architects, resourcefulness at its best!
It has fabric woven throughout-

Birds are amazing creatures, they sing, build great homes and fly...
I adore all birds.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Love,

Peggy
