Pantone color of 2012 is Tangerine Tango. However, while I don't have anything against orange (it is not a favorite), I prefer colors like Farrow & Ball's Red Earth or Ointment pink, which are slightly subdued colors with lots of orange in them.
I like to use orange accents with lavender.

Lavender goes with almost anything.

ReplyDeleteMy Paris apartment has crazy orange fabric walls but my choice would be white walls and bring the colour in other ways........one day when I get the Italian pad happening :)

My favorite color combo is blush and gold, but generally speaking, I am usually drawn to cool colors-aqua, lilacs, periwinkles. They are just so beautiful!
