I got these Japanese WWII linen rice sacks. AMAZING! I made them into pillows(feather inserts). I have seven(7) 26"x14"
the backs are Dupioni silk with zipper at top(after cleaning the backs were not suitable) some have stitching when they wore out
Two 2 large wheat flour sacks(one even has a date-1948-WOW) from OMAHA NEB. 32"x17" w/feather inserts. Both sides of large wheat flour sacks is linen one side, other side has Japanese symbol.
( this is a small area of the back of one of the big flour sacks)-as you can see they would reuse the bags(turns out it is a great way to Go Green, then patched them when wear appeared-I have left that wear(which is stitched over & over)on the pillows.
This is a stamp that appears on the flour sacks.
This is how we used some of the pillows in BRASWELL
